Seaspray Day Sailing - Two Islands & Village Tour Includes Drinks & Lunch
- Duration: 8 Hours
- Location: Nadi
- Product code: SSC 2019/2020
We loved this trip, the boat was big and roomy with real character, mooring just off the beach on the island Tom Hanks filmed Castaway was a real buzz. Jumping off the side, snorkeling in the crystal clear water with loads of pretty fish to keep us amused for a whole hour. Lunch was on board with plenty of goodies washed down with unlimited cold beers – nice! Next island was a tour of a traditional Fijian village, really interesting for sure, then a casual cruise back again.

The Adventure
The whole day is a highlight! But two of the standout features from the day are the visits to Modriki Island and Yanuya Island.
Modriki Island
- Modriki (pronounced ”Mon-driki”) is a pristine little haven.
- The sand is vividly white, and the water is the clearest blue you can imagine.
- The island was made famous in year 2000 when ”Cast Away”, the Hollywood block-buster movie staring Tom Hanks was released.
- Modriki is the island at which the movie was filmed, and although Tom’s character just wanted to escape Modriki, the last thing you”ll want to do is leave!
- With a Seaspray cruise you can snorkel your way to shore and explore the deserted island, sunbathe on the soft sand, or read a book under a coconut tree.
- You”ll probably find you”ll be snapping a lot of photos too as this lovely island sure is photogenic!
Yanuya Island
- When you step ashore at Yanuya, your smile will just grow wider as you meet the local villagers.
- This Mamanuca Island is home to a traditional Fiji Island village.
- The villagers welcome Seaspray guests with a Kava ceremony so you”ll be able to try some kava if you wish and then chat to the locals as you browse their handicraft.
Food and Drink
- There”s nothing like a day at sea for a big appetite so we include morning and afternoon tea plus a delicious barbecue lunch.
- All your drinks are included as well with wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Fiji Island Village Customs
- While visiting the village you”re free to walk around at your own leisure.
- We ask that the following customs be observed to respect the villagers:
- Do not wear a hat in the village including caps, visors etc.
- Only the chief has the right to wear a hat in a Fijian Village.
- Of course, you”re welcome to take a hat along with you as the Fiji sun is hot, but please remove it at the village.
- Dress modestly when in the village (women are requested to wear a sarong or long skirt whilst in the village).
- When on the beach swimsuits including bikinis are acceptable.
