South Sea Island Half Day Trip, BBQ Lunch, Beer & Wine

About the trip…

• Just a short 30-minute ferry ride from Denarau on the big cat, its the closest of all the islands to get to
• You’ll get a decent 4 hours on the island with this half day trip
• Step off straight onto the beach and you’re welcomed by happy singing Fijians
• Walk around the whole island in about 10 mins
• First up is a really delicious BBQ buffet with unlimited cold beer or bottled Aussie wine
• Great little show was put on by the staff, singing and dancing while we ate
• Then a short trip on the semi-sub, it’s small inside but air con with great views of all the fishes
• Next, for those who really love snorkelling is a guided trip into deeper water, this is where we saw a moray eel plus tons of other colourful fish and coral
• Time to check out the handicrafts
• We choose the bean bags for lazying around on the rest of the day with more snorkelling, even at low tide, it was still great! But there were plenty of lounge chairs too
• Kayaks are also there to paddle around in
• Wash off in the fresh water showers
• The complimentary kids club is great right next to the pool
• Salt water swimming pool is really nice
• Take the Hobie cat wave out for a spin around the island, it’s free also
• Ice-creams available at extra cost
• You’ll need to wear your flip flops or jandels around as the coral sand is quite sharp
